Summer goings on

Summer 2017 was a quieter one this year without the Buxton Puppet Festival or Buxton Family Festival.

We were at the Buxton Rotary Club‘s Summer Fair and Charity Bazaar once more. As well as flowerpot people, we had all the have-a-go puppets out and our puppet show booth for people to perform in… and we sold some of Beth Webb’s amazing hand-made cards which she makes to raise funds for great local causes. Check out her Facebook page here. We neither won the raffle (once again!) or the stall decoration prize…boooo.

Also in June, we were part of the St Mary’s Church Garden Party celebrating their 100th year!

Unfortunately, we weren’t in the Buxton Carnival parade this year but we hope to be back next time!!

Over July and August, we’ve been working away developing our workshops for schools… our Magpie sessions… and we’ll shortly be re-launching our ‘Changing Faces‘ project funded by Children in Need. After-school workshops on Tuesdays start on Tuesday 3rd October at The Green Man Gallery for 11-18yr olds who are experiencing difficulties. Please get in touch if you are interested.
