Spring news: inspired by the landscape
This Spring has been another busy one.
On Wednesday 12th April, we ran a shadow puppet-making workshop for the Buxton Museum & Art Gallery at The Green Man Gallery. See a video from the day here.
Our team has undergone their bi-annual Safeguarding Training, our workshop leader renewed their First Aid Certificate and our registered address has changed from the hallowed ground of 10b St James Terrace to pastures new. With the end of the exhibition for Chris and Doug and the change of address, if feels like we are definitely moving to a new chapter of our story, well, definitely once the fabled kitchen table is moved(!).If you would like to join us for the ride, we are in need of practitioners, Directors and general support.
We attended the Buxton Town Team‘s Buxton Spring Fair on quite a drizzly day. However, puppets were played with throughout the day.
And we were back working with the Buxton Town Team for Buxton in Bloom running flowerpot people-making workshops. One of which was with the 6th Buxton Methodist Guides at the Buxton Methodist Church. There were some wonderful pot people made and each of them different.
Coming up over summer, we’ll be at the Rotary Summer Fair, St Mary’s Church’s centenary garden party and hopefully, the Buxton Carnival parade.
