Autumn goings on

Hello all. We’ve had quite a busy autumn this year. A small project, which has come and gone quickly, has been to transform one of our puppets for use in the Buxton Drama League‘s production of Dracula (Thursday 16th – Saturday 18th November) at the Pavilion Arts Centre in the Pavilion Gardens (tickets available from the Buxton Opera House). It has been great to work with the Drama League again (after our collaboration in 2015 for their production of Season’s Greetings) and great to see the puppet onstage once more.

Speaking of ‘Season’s Greetings’, we have hired out our marionettes once again; this time to Macclesfield Amateur Dramatic Society (MADS) who are using them in their production of Alan Ayckbourn’s play in early December.

The main thing keeping us busy is our ‘Changing Faces‘ project supported by Children in Need. Workshops started in October and run after-school every term-time Tuesday supporting disadvantaged young people (11-18yrs). We are recruiting participants and volunteers so please get in touch if you would like to get involved.

Over winter, we will be running the workshops and making plans for our 2018 programme including our 20th Anniversary!!!!

We also have to update our Data Protection & Confidentiality Policy and procedures with new data regulations which will be a project in itself. Wish us luck!
