Buxton Family Festival 2016
We were invited by the Buxton Museum & Art Gallery to run two puppet-making workshops in the Buxton Family Festival 2016.
Our theme was ‘inspired by the landscape’ to align with the Museum’s project ‘Collections in the Landscape‘. We created four scenes: the Peak District in the Ice Age and present day, a Carboniferous Sea (when the local limestone was created) and Poole’s Cavern; and templates of the creatures and people which inhabited them.

On the day, participants were invited to create a puppet and perfom in our pop-up shadow theatre with live musical accompaniment by a member of our team. Below are pictures and a video compilation of some of the performances.
Thank you to the Buxton Museum and to all the participants who came along and shared their day with us.
