Buxton Puppet Festival 2005

The third Buxton Puppet Festival took place over 24 – 30 July 2005 once again hosted by the British Puppet & Model Theatre Guild and the Buxton Opera House. It was the backdrop to the first international exchange between Funny Wonders and Yamabiko-Za Children’s Theatre from Sapporo, Japan.

The festival featured performances by Indigo Moon Theatre, Lempen Puppet Theatre, Peak Puppets, Black Cat Theatre, Nori Sawa, Peter Wynne-Wilson, Yamabiko-Za Children’s Theatre, Theatre of the Small, Stephan Mattram’s Animata and the Babbling Vagabonds.

It also featured a scratch night, festival of toy theatre, a puppet exhibition children’s workshops and street theatre shows.
