Our creative after-school youth club returns for another term

Our Changing Faces project is back for the new academic term.

The project aims to support young people aged 11-18yrs in Buxton who face daily difficulties or disadvantage, whether social, medical, emotional, physical, mental or other.

We run creative, after-school workshops, 3.30pm-5pm, on term-time Tuesdays at The Green Man Gallery on Hardwick Square South. Workshops restart for the 2024/2025 school year on 10 September and will run at least until Christmas 2024. This term, they are supported by a grant from Derbyshire County Council.

Over the term, we will be working on another shadow puppetry film, written, created and performed by the group. See our previous shadow films here.

If you know of any young person in Buxton who would benefit from some creative time and an additional support network, or just needs a safe space to go after school, please let them know about it. Snacks and drinks are provided if they need encouraging!

Spaces are limited, so booking is required. Please contact us at hello@funnywonders.org.uk.

See what we got up to last year on our project page.
