Making a start…

The past few weeks have been a time of new beginnings, particularly as our meetings are now without both Chris or Doug. It’s an odd thing.

That aside, our summer of fun is well underway. We’ve made a start on our Buxton Carnival entry, on the Balinese puppets we’re making for a production of Gilbert & Sullivan opera ‘Utopia’, on our flowerpot people-making workshops with the Buxton Town Team and on planning an event in celebration of the work of Doug, Chris and Funny Wonders.

June is going to be a very busy month! Tomorrow we’ll be at the Buxton Rotary Club Summer Fair in the Pavilion Gardens and the following Saturday at The Green Man Gallery making flowerpot people. You’re welcome to come and pick up some pots to make them at home or make them at the workshop. We will also be selling materials for you to decorate them with.

Please let us know if you’d like to get involved in any of our projects or with the organisation as a whole. Lots of creative fun to be had.
