Buxton Carnival 2026
For Buxton Carnival 2026, we dusted off our human rollercoaster cars – first made in 2016!
Please see pictures below of our workshop, where we fixed up the cars, of our preparations for carnival, and of our performance in the parade.
Our group included participants from both our youth projects, Changing Faces and High Peak Youth Robotics, their families, and the wider Funny Wonders team.
The judges awarded us first place in the Group Characters category and awarded us a cup for overall winner.
Our thanks to the Buxton Well Dressing Festival for arranging another super day and to all those who donated to the crowdfunder so that it could go ahead.
