Come see us at Thank You Buxton event
Connex Community Support and Buxton Street-by-Street invite you to a ‘Thank You Buxton’ day of celebration and reflection aimed at thanking the community for all the support to Buxton throughout the pandemic!
The event is free and takes place on the old bowling green in the Pavilion Gardens (opposite hte Old Hall Hotel) and runs from 12noon to 6pm on Sunday 8th May 2021.
There will be live music on the bandstand from our good friends, Purple Cloud of Funk, plus Rose Amongst Thorns, the Pantonic All Stars, and Isaac of fuzzy felt fame.
In the event field, DJ Tom will be playing, and there will be workshops and activities Connex Community Support, ourselves and a ‘special, not-to-be-missed’ Reiki workshop on what promises to be a fun-filled day.
As well as music and workshops, as this is the start of Mental Health Awareness week, there will also be the opportunity to access support information on self-care and mental wellbeing, and to see how you can help your mental wellbeing and the community through volunteering and/or joining in community activities.
We will be running a reflection workshop as part of our PANDEMIC Reflections project, including contributing to our massive emotions tree, painting thankful handprints and drawing colour-filled memories to form our pandemic rainbow.
We hope to see you there!
