Rotary Autumn Fair 2021
At the Rotary Club of Buxton‘s Autumn Fair & Charity Bazaar on Saturday 25th August 2021, we created a ‘Rubbish Waterfall’ out of plastic bottles. These bottles contained messages – pledges to the goddess Arnemetia (the goddess of the waters of Buxton) of changes we will make to help the environment.
Below are pictures from the day, the waterfall and some of the pledges.
How it started:

How it’s Going:

The goddess was made by Andrea Lewis.
Over 100 people made pledges, including the Mayor and Mayoress of the High Peak.
Some of the pledges: “I pledge to the goddess Arnemetia…”
Thank you to everyone who took part and helped us on the day!
We hope the ‘rubbish waterfall’ will be displayed in The Green Man Gallery next month.
