In April 2002, we ran a residential course for young people at the Losehill Hall in Castleton, Derbyshire. Participants explored different types of puppetry, puppet-building materials, muscial accompaniment and performance skills, watched professional puppeteers perform and made puppets of their own. The project was delivered in association with Peak Puppets, Presto Puppets and Ruby Moon and was funded by ‘Awards for All‘.
At the end of the weekend, we put on a show of short performances for friends and family. We also performed on 3rd June at the ‘Picnic in the Park’ celebrations for the Queen’s Golden Jubilee.
Unfortunately, most of the VHS tape of edited footage of the weekend was lost due to being recorded over by an episode of The Young Ones! Here’s what we could recover…
